The Best Pizza in Miami
I know. How dare I come out and make such a claim?! But don't fight me on this one. The hype is true my friends. Visa-O1 has the best pizza in all of Miami. With their tagline “Extraordinary Pizza” Visa-O1 is serving up way more than extraordinary.

Visa-O1 has two locations in Miami. The original is located in South Beach and they recently opened up a new location in the Brickell area. On their website they seem to have a Wynwood location on the map, although I don’t think it’s open yet. Like they claim, they are truly that famous hidden place. On their wall you can read “Individuals with extraordinary ability. To qualify for an O-1 visa, the beneficiary must demonstrate extraordinary ability by sustained national or international acclaim.”, hence the name Visa-O1.

But let’s get to the point, the pizza point. Their Brickell location is perfectly situated in the heart of Brickell, next to Dolores But You Can Call Me Lolita. It’s quaint, it’s simple and their outdoor café is perfect for people watching. They have an extensive selection of pizza pies divided into 3 categories: Traditional Pizza, Special Pizza and Extraordinary Pizza. Fun fact: the chef, Chef Renato, has his own farm in Italy that produces the flour for the pizza dough and is used in every pie to produce the freshest pizza possible. They also offer calzones, an antipasti and mozzarella bar and salads. Vegans rejoice; vegan cheese is available too! They have wine and beer. Of course I ordered beer because beer and pizza are a match made in foodie heaven. The only beer available was an Italian classic, Birra Moretti, a Euro pale lager style beer. It was the perfect accompaniment to my pizza.

Visa-O1 is known for their star shaped pizza so of course we had to order one. We got the vegetarian option, Star Michelle, which was filled with ricotta cheese, mozzarella, San Marzano sauce (if you don’t know about San Marzano tomatoes, please get to know), grilled eggplant, zucchini, and roasted peppers. The ricotta cheese was creamy, the veggies fresh, absolute star pizza perfection. The second pizza we ordered was my favorite though. The Jacqueline is made with San Marzano sauce, mozzarella, two eggs, black peppers and white truffle oil. You had me at eggs and truffle. The smell alone will make your mouth water. Every bite was delectable. The crust was thin, charred and crunchy. This is what pizza dreams are made of!

With quality ingredients, friendly service and authentic vibes, Visa-O1 is my favorite pizza joint in Miami. Pies range from $4.99 for a personal and up to $16.90 for a 13 inch. Reservations are recommended for weekend nights, although you can order online for take-out as well. Try it for yourself and let me know what you think in the comments below!
